Stoney Creek Montessori is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

40 hours per week, at $18 per hour or commensurate to experience
8 weeks in July and August 2021

Location: 178 Barton Street, Units 4-5, Stoney Creek, ON, L8E 4W2

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic RECE to join our team this summer for a period of 6 weeks. We encourage applications from indigenous and racialized communities, recent immigrant or refugee, LGBTQ2, and individuals from communities who have historically experienced barriers in employment. Applicants must be authorised to work in Ontario.

The role includes classroom duties, administrative tasks, and food handling as needed.

Early Childhood Educator Assistants
Three vacancies supported by Service Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs grant

35 hours per week, at $15 an hour
June 14th to August 23rd, 2021 (approximately 10 weeks)

Location: 178 Barton Street, Units 4-5, Stoney Creek, ON, L8E 4W2

We are looking for three motivated and enthusiastic young individuals to join our team this summer for a period of 10 weeks. We encourage applications from indigenous and racialized youth, recent immigrant or refugee youth, LGBTQ2 youth, and youth from communities who have historically experienced barriers in employment. Applicants must fulfil the following requirements as per Canada Summer Jobs requirement:

• be under 30 years old
• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or recent refugee authorised to work in Ontario

The roles include classroom duties, administrative tasks, and food handling as needed. Successful candidates will be provided with training in early childhood education, Montessori pedagogy, classroom management, and lesson preparation. They will be paired with a mentor for the duration of their employment with SCMS.
