We are looking for you to bring your quality assurance expertise to our team of talented professionals, where you will verify and validate the functionality of a diverse suite of contact centre applications.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will be responsible for:

  • identifying trends and assisting in solving a variety of quality assurance testing/results, incidents and problems that affect one or more applications
  • building and configuring a variety of complex test environments and tools that may or may not be related
  • developing testing methodologies and test scripts frameworks featuring reusable testing components
  • troubleshooting diverse and complex testing incidents and problems in applications that may or may not be interdependent
  • documenting and explaining detailed tests and results
  • developing and participating in developing options at any stage of the systems development life-cycle
  • providing technical assessments of team members’ work performance (staff and vendors)
  • providing user-friendly quality assurance testing guidance and change management support, information and education to diverse users and end-users


How do I qualify?

Technical Experience:

You have:

  • application development and scripting experience to interpret test results and select appropriate testing tools and methods
  • experience developing, testing and implementing contact centre technologies
  • the proven ability to apply structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of n-tier web-based applications


Technical Knowledge:

You have knowledge of:

  • various platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, languages and telecommunications protocols
  • current trends in IT quality assurance domain
  • quality assurance methodologies, object-oriented analysis and design techniques
  • database design and data dictionaries
  • industry best practice testing automation tools (e.g. HP application life cycle management)
  • current development and testing tools/languages within the different frameworks and platforms (e.g. J2EE, .NET, Domino, IMS, Oracle)
  • testing services (e.g. Functionality testing, System testing, Integration testing, Performance testing, Load testing, Volume testing, Regression testing, Security and Intrusion testing, and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) testing)


Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:

  • using your evaluation skills you can select and use appropriate scientific methods that ensure that quality assurance testing needs are identified
  • you can select, recommend and apply the correct testing tools and processes that ensure the integrity of testing for situations that involve unrelated processes and methods
  • you can use your interpretative reasoning skills to analyze multiple test data, results and possible causes of problems
  • you have experience participating in developing/testing fixes that satisfy diverse application technical requirements and user needs
  • you can monitor, evaluate and report on quality assurance testing as well as troubleshoot testing problems
  • you can verify and validate data recorded by the application is accurate and complete
  • you can analyze data to ensure it meets the application data requirements


Communication and Client Service Skills:

You have:

  • Written communication skills to prepare draft testing specifications and document quality assurance testing processes and detailed test findings accurately and concisely
  • oral communications to explain and present a variety of quality assurance testing results and recommendations for technical audiences and/or decision-makers
  • interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships and provide instruction for less experienced team members


Project Management and Organizational Skills:

You have:

  • knowledge of project and work management techniques to execute/lead a variety of concurrent testing activities and provide cost control for quality assurance testing elements of testing projects
  • coordination skills to plan and schedule quality assurance testing
  • prioritization skills to meet project requirements and ensure timeliness
